Welcome! Here I am!
Hi! I am Abby.
I have suffered from a myriad of skin issues on my face and body since my teens. In my mid-20s, I was sick of being on medication for my acne and was tired of being self-conscious about the way I looked. I began practicing healthier habits as well as seeking out various skincare products and treatments to determine what would be best for keeping my complexion clear. A passing compliment about my skin still feels surreal. I can't believe my insecurity over the way I looked once kept me from nights out with friends. It is nice to know longer look in the mirror and cry!
My skin can still be capricious! My routine is ever-changing and a product or regimen that may have worked before may not work as well over time. I was cleaning out my vanity recently and looked at all the half-empty products I was throwing out. These were products that had been hawked by reality tv stars and A-list celebrities. "I wish I had known this wasn't going to work before I bought it!" This was my 'a-ha moment'. Why not start sharing what I've learned with other people? I doubt I will ever get approached to run a 'sponsored post' but if I did, I would never take money for it unless I absolutely loved it. I have been duped too many times to do that to someone else.
I consider all the content related to these posts to be a hobby. I am not a doctor so none of the conversations, advice, correspondence or other communications on or because of this platform or related platforms should take the place of medical advice or treatment from your physician.
I am going to call this my minlog. I find most blogs to be too wordy or too long. My goal is to give you substance without the fluff.
Enjoy!
